What is SmartClean?

SmartClean is a Data Cleaning tool in Google Sheets™ that cleans multiple data issues all at once in one click. Whether you are handling small spreadsheets or cleaning large datasets with multiple data issues, SmartClean can process them all instantly. With SmartClean, you can easily analyze your spreadsheet data to detect multiple formatting anomalies and perform bulk data cleaning on datasets of any size with various errors. It works seamlessly with imported, pasted, and manually typed data.

⚠️ Please note: The data issues that can be detected will depend on our currently supported features.

It processes data only when the user manually starts an analysis or cleaning action through the SmartClean sidebar in Google Sheets™.

How It Works

After installation, open your Google Sheets™ spreadsheet and launch the add-on via:

👉 Extensions > SmartClean > Open SmartClean

Then follow these steps:

1. Click "Analyze" to detect issues.
2. Choose any data cleaning type from the checkbox.
3. Click "Clean".
